Keeping my focus

..."If you focus on what you have, you will end up having more. If you focus on what you lack, you will never have enough." ~Oprah Winfrey.

There is so much I have gratitude for: my health, my freedom, my husband & daughter, my families, my friends, my home, my car, the sun, trees, music...etc. However, sometimes feelings of inadequacy takes the reigns for a moment or more. It maybe because I felt I was being judged, or felt the grass was greener on the other side, or maybe just something from the past that I have not yet resolved. And, as a result, I lost sight of how much God has truly blessed my life with abundance.

In the past, I would wallow in self-pity for hours, days, even months on end and in the process making EVERYONE around me miserable... And not to mention attracting more and more lack and more of what I did not want!

Today, I am able to take back the reigns shortly after I get that negative feeling in my gut and focus my attention back onto all of HIS blessings and what makes me feel good. Simply closing my eyes and taking some cleansing breaths helps. Returning to calmness may take a little doing at times, but sooner more than later, I eventually find my way back to my original focus: deserving to feel good, my boundless gratitude for life and ready for more of what I do want!

May your day be filled with gratitude and may your focus stay on track! xoxo.
