"I haven't seen you in a while, yet I often imagine all your expressions. I haven't spoken to you recently, but many times I hear your thoughts. Good friends must not always be together. It is the feeling of oneness, when distant, that proves a lasting friendship...” ~Unknown.
When I think back to all of the friends that have been in my life over the years...the ones I've grown up with, school mates, co-workers, doctors, nurses, those I've lost touch with, those I've had disagreements with, those from afar, neighbors, even family members ...I am amazed at how their presence, no matter how long or short, however enriching or tumultuous it may have been, have made a profound effect on my life. They've all taught me valuable lessons about myself!
All of the friendships I've had, and continue to have, are beautiful, priceless gifts. Throughout the years, we'll all undoubtedly continue to grow separately, and it is a comfort to know that most of my friends & I can do so without growing apart.
My hope is for my friendships to continue to flourish with a mutual respect for our individuality, and for some of my friendships that have been lost along the way, in time, will be found again.
Friendships are truly one of many blessings from God. Have you counted your blessings today? xoxo.

Very insightful!
ReplyDeleteOur friends are just a thought away. How many times have we said "I was just thinking about you" when picking up the phone, receiving an email, getting a letter from the mailbox, or while running into someone at the grocery store? I think we've all encountered experiences like that often enough to know that there is a little more than coincidence going on there.
In the spirit of 'play' try thinking about a friend you haven't seen or heard from in a while and then let the thought go. Wait and see what happens next. If you get some interesting results please share them here!
Thank you, Steve for your insight. I'll keep you posted! xoxo.
